The summer school is framed as an introduction to the 22nd European Systemic
Functional Linguistics Conference and Workshop, to be held at the University of
Primorska in Koper, Slovenia, from 9 to 12 July 2010.
The summer school is aimed both at those who would like to make a first
approach to systemic-functional research of linguistic phenomena and at those
who would like to broaden their knowledge of the SFL theory
The summer school will be taught by lecturers who are renowned systemic
functional linguists:
James Martin (University of Sydney):
Genre-based literacy: an introduction to the Sydney School
Christopher Taylor(University of Trieste): Multimodal texts: analysis and translation
Eija Ventola (University of Helsinki): Analysing multisemiotic texts – particularly in the field of tourism
Participants will receive certificates of attendance and 3 ECTS.
